What we need before we can quote

An export quotation is useful only when the product and destination are defined. Share these three groups of details so we can check feasibility, packaging, certificates and freight before confirming an offer.

01 · ProductVariety or species, fresh or frozen condition, grade, size and any buyer standard.
02 · OrderEstimated quantity, preferred packing, labelling and required shipment window.
03 · DestinationCountry, airport or seaport, importer details and any known import permit or certificate requirements.
From enquiry to handover

Our export process

These stages show the normal commercial flow. Inspection, certificate timing and transport booking vary by product and destination.

01

Check feasibility and import rules

We review the requested product, quantity and route. The buyer confirms that its exact commodity is admissible and identifies local permits, labels, tests and entry conditions. We check sourcing and export requirements in Bangladesh before making a commitment.

02

Agree the offer and payment terms

We issue a quotation covering specification, packing, price, shipment point and timing. After buyer confirmation, both sides agree a sales contract or purchase order and a proforma invoice. Food orders use telegraphic transfer (TT); the agreed advance is received before procurement or processing starts.

03

Source, grade and prepare the goods

Sareng sources the agreed items and checks quality, quantity, condition and packing. Fresh produce is sorted and packed for the route; frozen products require suitable processing, storage and temperature-controlled transport. The exact handling plan follows the product specification.

04

Arrange official inspection and certificates

For plant products, we coordinate with the Plant Quarantine Wing (PQW) of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) for the applicable phytosanitary certificate. For fish, the Fish Inspection and Quality Control (FIQC) office under the Department of Fisheries issues applicable health or Salubrity certification after its process. The authority issues the certificate; Sareng coordinates the application and shipment preparation.

05

Finalize documents and clear Bangladesh customs

We prepare the commercial invoice and packing list and coordinate the certificate of origin, EXP form through the authorised dealer bank and any product-specific documents. Our clearing and forwarding (C&F) partners submit the Bill of Export/Shipping Bill for customs clearance.

06

Receive the balance, dispatch and send documents

The remaining TT balance is received before shipment under the agreed terms. We coordinate air freight or sea freight to the buyer’s destination airport or seaport. After dispatch, the buyer receives the agreed shipping documents, such as the airway bill or bill of lading, invoice, packing list and certificates.

Different products, different checks

How the route changes by product

Fresh vegetables, frozen vegetables and fish do not follow one universal certificate list. The buyer’s market and the product’s condition determine the checks.

Europe, Japan, USA, Middle East & Maldives

The same Bangladeshi product may be accepted in one market and restricted in another. We verify the rule for the exact product and buyer destination before confirming a shipment.

European Union

Fresh plant products commonly need a phytosanitary certificate and EU border plant health checks. For fishery products, the EU checks the exporting country, establishment and official health certification. The EU importer handles the required pre-notification and entry process, including TRACES where applicable.

Greece follows EU rules; individual member-state and product controls can add detail.

Japan

Japan’s importer submits a food import notification to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW). Fresh plant items need plant quarantine checks and may be prohibited by origin and species. We ask the buyer to confirm the exact item with Japanese authorities before quotation.

United States

For fresh produce, the importer checks USDA APHIS’s Agricultural Commodity Import Requirements (ACIR) database for the exact commodity and Bangladesh origin. FDA food requirements include applicable facility registration, prior notice and importer controls; seafood has HACCP requirements. We do not treat a phytosanitary certificate alone as permission to import.

Middle East

There is no single regional import rule. The buyer checks its country’s food authority, product registration, labels, permits and required health or phytosanitary documents. For example, Saudi Arabia’s SFDA requires importer and product registration and checks shipment documents. Requirements for Bahrain and other markets must be confirmed separately.

Maldives

We discuss fresh and frozen food, fish and mixed product orders with Maldivian buyers. For regulated plants and plant products, the importer checks the applicable phytosanitary import permit before dispatch. Local food and customs clearance requirements depend on the exact shipment.

Payment and shipment terms

For food products, Sareng Impex accepts telegraphic transfer (TT). A common structure is 30% advance and 70% before shipment. We may agree 100% in advance or another advance level, such as 70%, depending on the order. We do not offer letters of credit (LC). All terms are confirmed in the written offer and contract.

Our delivery commitmentWe coordinate C&F and freight forwarding and arrange shipment to the agreed airport or seaport in the buyer’s country. The importer remains responsible for its local import approvals and destination clearance unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Common buyer questions

Before you place an export order

Can you export any Bangladeshi vegetable or fish to any country?

We can assess a wide range of buyer requests, but acceptance depends on the exact product, current export and import rules, available supply, approved processing where needed, and the buyer’s permits. We confirm feasibility before accepting an order.

Who issues phytosanitary and fish health certificates?

Bangladesh’s Plant Quarantine Wing (PQW) under the Department of Agricultural Extension issues applicable phytosanitary certificates. The Fish Inspection and Quality Control (FIQC) office under the Department of Fisheries handles applicable fish health or Salubrity certificates. Sareng coordinates with these authorities; it does not issue the certificates itself.
